I began decorating cakes about thirty years ago at Kroger's bakery in Hermitage, TN.  The following summer I took a formal cake decorating class at McGavock High School in Nashville, TN.  According to my mother, that was "the best $35 she ever spent on me."  

 

Over the next several years I worked closely with my mother, who was a wedding consultant and caterer, and my husband, who was a photographer. In 2001, my husband's job relocated us to Rochester, Minnesota.  Being displaced and away from my family, I wasn't sure I wanted to continue the wedding business.  After getting settled in Rochester, I found myself decorating again and in 2003, I established Beautiful Cakes and Bridals.

 

In December 2006 my husband and I and our three wonderful children moved to Huntsville, AL and I had the pleasure of restarting the business again. I have enjoyed serving Huntsville and Tennessee Valley area.
